Wanted to Write About Sodium, But Na

Today’s Sametime Status is about Potassium, K?

Ladies, Gentlemen, and people from Elmira...Jeremy is a nerd.

This should come as a shock to nobody, really.

So, today's Sametime Status is a little on the nerdy side, and you either get it or you don't.  There's really not much else to it.

It's funny because Potassium is one of the 118 chemical elements on the Periodic Table.  It's a pretty useful one, and very tasty in banana form.  It is one of the key electrolytes in your blood which help control blood function, your body's pH, and muscle control.  Compounds involving potassium are found abundantly in nature, but potassium itself is quite reactive, so it won't be found by itself.  People can easily increase their body's potassium levels using either bananas or sports drinks.

You can find potassium on the far left side of the periodic table as element number 19...with the chemical symbol "K."  Incidentally, that chemical symbol is what makes today's Sametime Status funny.

That will do it for us this week here at Jeremy Is In The Office, as we're off tomorrow to celebrate America Day.  We'll return on monday with more of this nonsense.  Everyone have a safe, happy, and explosive 4th of July!
