Future Deja Vu

To celebrate Major League Baseball’s expansion of Instant Replay, I’m going to use this same Sametime Status Message tomorrow, too!

I think the best part of this Sametime Status is that you're recycling electrons.  Recycling is good for the environment.  Good for you, Jeremy!

Thanks!

Of course, tomorrow is also Saturday, you won't be working, and you won't have a Sametime Status, so that somewhat renders your point moot.

That's completely irrelevant, if you ask me.
Anyway, Major League Baseball announced that they're going to be taking a break from publicly shaming steroid users and actually try something that will improve the game.  They've expanded the use of instant replay during games so that the umpires will get three or four more calls right this season.  This seems to be a wonderful use of their time.

That said, the expanded use of instant replay will, in and of itself, directly cause me to watch precisely zero more baseball games than I had planned on watching already (which was somewhere in the zero range, truth be told), so I don't know how much of an effect this will really have on the game as a whole.

So Far, 5 People Have Asked For The Punchline

What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

An awful Sametime Status and a continuation of a horrible trend of Friday Blag entries?

You're so negative.  What's gotten you so grumpy?

Rhetorical Friday always makes me grumpy.  I don't know why.

Well, everyone else loves it!

For certain definitions of "everyone."

Well, it's time to be happy.  It's Friday afternoon, it's fall, and we're currently at the peak of leaf peeping season here in the Greater Jeremy Area.  They actually told me that on the radio this morning.  It'll be the weekend soon, and there's a whole world of happiness to explore.

And instead of exploring any of it, you give us more Rhetorical Friday.

It's what I do!  Have a good weekend, everybody!

I love a good juxtaposition

I believe, canonically, we're all required to "get down" today

And just who's canon are we following today? Pachelbel's?

Close. Today's Sametime Status is a whimsical juxtaposition. Today happens to be Good Friday, and in the Status, I allude to Rebecca Black's feeble attempt at music called "Friday" which is a really really BAD "Friday".

The lyrics of the chorus include the phrase "gotta get down on Friday" which to me seems a little presumptuous. Not everybody has weekends off of work, nor do they spend their Friday nights partying, no matter how much fun fun fun fun it is.

Anyway...I really shouldn't waste too much of my time and brain bandwidth trying to analyze this tripe. It would be better to introduce you to a much more tolerable alternative:

Rebecca Black's "Friday" (Chipmunk Version)!! Enjoy!

It's good for my taste buds!

I'm pretty sure downloading the "Five Guys" app isn't good for my health

Too bad "In n Out Burger" doesn't have their own App. I'd download that.

"In n Out" is only on the west coast.

I'm a figment of your imagination. I can live wherever I want.

So anyway, I was made aware yesterday that "Five Guys Burgers and Fries" has their own Android App, which allows you to place an order for your burger in advance, pay for it when you get to the store and take it home. Considering just how delicious and horrifyingly un-healthy their burgers are, and the restaurant's proximity to my house (and soon to be opening a new one close to work, as well), having this app on my Droid makes for a remarkably dangerous combination.

That said, it's a new app for my Droid, so I had to have it. Guess what's for lunch tomorrow.

Macaroni and cheese?

Also, as a special bonus...if you've been living in a hole the last few weeks, you may not be aware of the newest big music sensation on the Internetz. Rebecca Black's smash single "Friday" has nearly 50 Million views on Youtube. When something on the Internetz is this popular, you know it has to be of the utmost quality. So, since it's Friday, please enjoy "Friday" by Rebecca Black!

It's one of those days, I guess.

Even today's holidays are lame. Happy Friday, everybody!

It's a slow day in the world, apparently. Thankfully, it's Friday, so it's almost weekend.

Indeed. My usual source for lame holiday Sametime Statuses says that today is either "Gorgeous Grandma Day," or "Hot Enough For Ya Day," which are both moronic, so I really have nothing for you today.

So instead, you get to watch a video (Probably best watched on "Mute" due to crappy music) of baby moose playing in a lawn sprinkler:

If I had a nickel for every...

"There are 1011 stars in the galaxy. That used to be a huge number. But it's only a hundred billion. It's less than the national deficit! We used to call them astronomical numbers. Now we should call them economical numbers." - Richard Feynman

Always nice to have a good nerd quote to wrap up a week.

I agree...I came across this quote browsing a message board a little while back...thought I'd share it with you all today.

Mighty nice of you, Jeremy. Thank you for this.

You're welcome. Have a good weekend, everybody!!

Healthy Blagging for a Healthy Life

Sametime Statuses are delicious, and good for you too!

With this knowledge, it's a little surprising that people aren't more grateful to you for providing this helpful and heathful service.

I know. People come to me on occasion and say they enjoyed the blag...but nobody ever really thanks me for it.

I was kidding. This stuff is nonsense and everyone knows it.

But it's an amusing diversion for a Friday!

Happy weekend, everybody!
