So Many Cousins...

Looks like the mountain got the Law before it got the Duke boys

All of us here at Jeremy Is In The Office were saddened recently by the passing of James Best.  The actor who put a face to the iconic character Rosco P. Coltrane on The Dukes Of Hazzard.

Sure, the character was originally played by Bruce Atkins in the film "Moonrunners" on which the show was based, but whenever anyone thinks of Rosco, they think James Best.  Besides, Atkins' characterization was much more serious and angry than the Rosco we all came to know and love.  

Anyway, today's Sametime Status is a reference to the lyrics of the theme song to "The Dukes of Hazzard" which tangentially references Rosco by saying "some day the mountain might get 'em, but the law never will."  

Fittingly, Youtube already has a Rosco compilation video (we'll just ignore the misspelling of Rosco's name) which you can Watch Right Here.  It includes a couple outtakes which would never make it to air due to coarse language, including one of my favorite phrases ever around the 25-second mark.  

Related, the online video streaming service which, for strictly Blag purposes we'll call "InternetFlickershows," currently does NOT offer The Dukes of Hazzard for streaming, which is an egregious failure on their part.  Let this serve as my official request to rectify that situation, which will have the result of costing me hours of binge-watching time should it ever happen.
