Forgot To Take A Picture Of My Future Pole

Hooray!  Free telephone pole!

Now you can pole your telephone with the Telephone Pole the Professionals Use!  

I should begin today by pointing out the fact that I don't have a telephone pole.  Granted, most people probably don't, but that's beside the point entirely.  There's one in my neighbor's yard, and another one across the street, but they're not mint, and presumably not my neighbor's either.  What this all adds up to is that I am throwing up a big ol' goose egg in the phone pole department.  

Up until recently, this didn't bother me.  

On my way into work not long ago, I came across a sign posted on a telephone pole in somebody's yard.  It said, in its entirety, "FREE!"  I can only assume that meant that the telephone pole was free, since there was absolutely nothing else around that could be removed from the yard...for free or otherwise.  As such, I drew the logical conclusion, that the owner of the yard was done with their telephone pole, didn't need it anymore, and wanted to give it away to a good home.  

Around this time, I became increasingly aware of the fact that I don't have a telephone pole.  I don't really want one, since it's one more thing to avoid while mowing the lawn, but it's at least a little sad that I don't have one.  Everyone else gets theirs, and there are apparently so many around that they can just be given away for free.  I feel like I could provide a good home for a telephone pole.  I can only assume that it's a relatively simple matter to get one of those out of the ground and moved to my house, right?
