Jeremy's Sametime Status is Proud to Present: 2010 US Olympian, or Foreign Head of State Week!
US Olympian or Foreign Head of State? Day 1: Joseph Pavelski
Welcome, everyone, to another rousing edition of "Theme Week For Fun And Prizes!" Since the 2010 Winter Olympics are a mere 2 weeks away, this seems like a great time to get to know your American Olympians.
Also, since the Olympics are a time to celebrate world diversity, this seems like a great time to get to know your World Leaders.
Each morning from now until the Olympics begin, you will be presented with a name. That person will be either a 2010 US Olympian, or a Foreign Head of State. Your job is to identify which it is and submit your entry.
In this contest, it is remarkably easy to cheat, since all the World leaders are in Wikipedia, and all the Olympians are on ESPN. This contest is all about fun and frivolity...and I'm already giving you a 50% chance of getting it right anyway, so don't cheat. It's pointless, and the prizes are crap.
Also, some of you may actually know the answer. In the event that is the case, let others play along too, and merely answer the question without any commentary. For example, everyone knows that Fredrik Reinfeldt is the Prime Minister of Sweden. So if today's question was "Fredrik Reinfeldt," your answer should be properly phrased, "Foreign Head of State," not, "Holy crap, Jeremy...everyone knows that Fredrik Reinfeldt is the Prime Minister of Sweden. What an easy question, you moron!" That would take away the fun for others.
So, here's what you do. Take a look at each day's name, and submit your answer of "US Olympian" or "Foreign Head of State" to me by 8AM the following day.
Answers are accepted in the form of an Email, Instant Message, or Blag Comment. Only one answer per person per day will be accepted, so make darn sure you mean it when you click that little "Send" button, because it's final.
Also, we did mention this was for Fun and Prizes right? Tell 'em what they'll win!
This Week's winners will receive the Jeremy Is In The Office Home Game; Volume VI - Olympic Medals.
Good luck everyone!
